David Munk-Nielsen

David er født i 1998 og begyndte med at spille klaver som 5-årig hos Mark Schneider. Som 6-årig medvirkede han i TV-udsendelsen "Mig og min alder", der handlede om hjernens udvikling, hvor   han bl.a. spillede sin første Chopin-vals. Fra David var 9-16 år modtog han undervisning hos professor Anne Øland. Nu studerer han hos Søren Rastogi på Det Jyske Musikkonservatorium. Han har deltaget i masterclass hos professor ved Tchaikovsky-konservatoriet Irina Ossipova samt Veronika Vetaite og Vera Nosina.

 

Han har optrådt mange gange i Musikhuset Århus bl.a. ved Anne Ølands 60 års fødselsdagskoncert. I 2010 vandt han 1. præmie ved Nordsjællands klaverfestival. I 2011 deltog han i den internationale klaverkonkurrence Bang & Olufsen PianoRAMA-Competition, hvor han som den yngste blev udtaget blandt 148 unge pianister fra hele verden. I den sammenhæng optrådte han både i DR's P2 og i TV2. I 2011 blev han optaget på Juniorakademiet for pianister ved konservatoriet i København, hvor han har fået undervisning i kammermusik af Hanne Mulvad.

 

David har spillet solokoncerter i flere musikforeninger og i 2012 var han solist i Kuhlaus klaverkoncert med Nordsjællands Symfoniorkester på en turné i Danmark og Irland. David spillede i 2014 sin første hel-aftens solokoncert i Århus Musikhus. I januar 2015 var David til optagelsesprøve på konservatoriet i Århus og blev optaget med topkarakter. I april 2015 opnåede David guldmedalje ved Berlingskes Klassiske Musikkonkurrence, hvor han i den forbindelse optrådte i Tivolis koncertsal. I november 2015 modtog han Jacob Gade Legatets talentpris på 45.000 kr.

David was born in 1998 and started playing the piano at the age of 5 with Mark Schneider.

When he was 6, David participated in the TV show “Me and my age” which was about the development of the brain. Amongst other things, David played his first Chopin waltz.

The last seven years David has studied with Professor Anne Øland until recently, he started studying with Søren Rastogi at the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus.

 

He has participated in master classes with professor at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Irina Ossipova, as well as with Veronika Vetaite and Vera Nosina. David has performed a number of times at the Concert Hall Aarhus, Denmark, for instance at Professor Anne Øland´s 60th Birthday Concert.

In 2010 David won 1st prize at the North Zealand Piano Festival. In 2011 David participated in the international piano competition Bang & Olufsen PianoRAMA Competition where he was selected as the youngest among 148 young pianists from around the world. In this connection David appeared in Danish Radio (P2) and television (TV2). In 2011 David was also admitted to the Junior Academy for pianists at the conservatory in Copenhagen where he was taught chamber music by Hanne Mulvad.

 

David has played solo concerts in several music societies, and in 2012 he was a soloist in Kuhlau´s piano concerto with the North Zealand Symphony Orchestra on a tour in Denmark and Ireland. In 2014 David played his first all-night solo concert at Aarhus Concert Hall. In January 2015 David took the entrance exam to the Conservatory in Aarhus. David was admitted to the Conservatory in Aarhus with top marks. In April 2015 David received a gold medal at the Berling Classical Music Competition. In this context he played in the Tivoli Concert Hall. In November 2015 David was awarded the Jacob Gade Talent Prize of 45,000 DKK.
