Sandra Plauškaitė
Born in 1994 in Klaipeda (Lithuania) and began taking piano
lessons there at the age of 7 at the E. Balsys gymnasium of
arts, going on to graduate with top honours in 2013.
During these years Sandra have got some prizes in
international competitions such as “Music without limits” in
Druskininkai (Lithuania), polish piano music competition,
dedicated to F.Chopin in Vilnius (Lithuania), young talents
competition in Val Tidone (Italy) and etc. What is more,
in 2014 and 2015 she has been granted the scholarships
from Viskum and Holger Arndts foundations.
Without competitive activity Sandra has taken part in festivals
and participated in masterclasses with great pianists and
teachers as M. Marcenko, V.Vitaite, K. Knore, V. Slobodianov,
J. Karnavicius, R. Zubovas, I.Osipova, E. Borowsky, A. Paley,
E.Comis, V. Egorova and others.
Her solo repertoire includes works by a wide range of
composers, from 17th to 21st century. However, romantic
period dominates significant part of her repertoire.
Also, Sandra is passionate chamber music performer. She
enjoys playing in all kind of ensembles (as well as in
experimental and not traditional ensembles).
Currently she is a student at the Royal Music Academy of
Music in Aarhus (Denmark) at the bachelor program with
outstanding Danish pianist and teacher Jens Elvekjær.
